Free Bibles for Churches

Free bibles are exactly what the title denotes:  bibles that are free for anyone to use.  It might seem unbelievable, but there are places that give out free bibles for churches, religious organizations, and other types of institutions.  These bibles are completely free of charge, though individual companies may require shipping cost be paid ahead of time.

FreeBibles.net

FreeBibles.net is another non-profit organization that gives free bibles to churches.  However, this group is different in that their organization is devoted to helping those that could not otherwise help themselves.  Their bibles are freely given to those in prison, and those who are in hospitals.  They also provide bibles to poorer communities that cannot afford bibles. 

This group works differently from other groups because they actually do not purchase the bibles themselves.  Instead, they accept the bibles as donations from other groups and organizations.  Those that would like to donate a bible can visit their website for more information.  It is also interesting that they only accept orders for the bibles from their website.  Individuals cannot call ahead, or put their request in writing. 

Missionaries to America is completely unique in their mission to spread the word of Christianity.  The group realizes that giving away free bibles to churches is only one way to help spread the word, and encourage people to read the teachings of the bible.  Their website Mission2America.org explains that the group frequently gives away bibles, and in their home state of Oregon, actually have over 200 places where people can receive a free bible. 

The group also encourages other churches and ministries to get involved, and to help them spread the word.  Individual groups can request assistance by using their website.  Representatives from the organization will come to their church, and teach them how they too can give away free bibles in their local communities and neighborhoods.  This can be a great option for youth groups. 

Digital Bibles

Digital bibles are a great choice for churches and organizations that have more technologically advanced parishioners.  These free bibles for churches are available for download from a number of different websites.  They can be saved on computers, and handheld devices such as a Blackberry or PDA.  There are even a few websites that allow visitors to download the information directly onto their cell phone. 

BibleDatabase.com is one of the best websites that provide free bibles for the ministry.  They have several different versions available, and allow users to customize everything from the font to the color of the words.  This gives your entire congregation the chance to create the perfect bible for their needs.  Those that have a hard time reading can easily download a larger font, while younger kids might prefer a bright color.
